About the Journal

The Iranian Journal of Maternal and Gynecologic Health Research is the official peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal of the Iranian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, dedicated to advancing research in maternal, reproductive, and gynecologic health, with a particular focus on health priorities and challenges affecting women in Iran. The journal provides a scientific platform for high-quality research addressing major aspects of maternal and women’s health across the life course, with an emphasis on clinical, translational, epidemiological, and public health applications.

The Iranian Journal of Maternal and Gynecologic Health Research welcomes original research articles, review papers, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, short communications, case reports, and letters to the editor covering a broad range of topics in maternal and gynecologic health. These include, but are not limited to, pregnancy and childbirth, maternal morbidity and mortality, high-risk pregnancy, fetal and perinatal health, reproductive health and infertility, gynecologic disorders, reproductive endocrinology, gynecologic oncology, women's health across the life course, and the prevention and management of conditions affecting women’s health.

In addition to its primary focus on Iran, the journal welcomes research from neighboring countries and other regions that addresses relevant maternal and gynecologic health challenges, particularly studies with broader clinical, epidemiological, or public health implications. The journal aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration among obstetricians, gynecologists, midwives, reproductive health specialists, clinicians, researchers, and public health professionals and to facilitate the timely dissemination of evidence that can contribute to improved women's health outcomes, healthcare delivery, and health policy.
